The interior plate has a thumbturn and the exterior plate has an emergency release turn. The Narrow Rectangular Privacy Mortise Pocket Door Hardware comes packaged with 2 flush pulls and a privacy function mortise box. It will fit doors that are 1-3/8 inches thick. The trim plates are 1/8 inches thick.

Pocket Door Privacy Lock: Locks but has access to unlock from the outside via emergency turn. Privacy locks do not offer security, they offer privacy.
