Omnia's 9163 Privacy Bolt features the classic beauty that is iconic of traditional decor--simple yet timelessly elegant. Mortise privacy bolts are most often used on bedrooms and bathrooms. This bolt is not meant for security purposes as, in case of emergencies, the bolt can be retracted from the exterior side of the door through the emergency release rose. For doors 1-3/8" to 2-1/4" thick with either 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" backsets.

Privacy Bolt (Bathroom and Bedroom): Locks but has access to unlock from the outside via emergency turn. Privacy locks do not offer security, they offer privacy.
